The engine at 1.5 litres turbocharged falls into the lowest band of any schedule that taxes on displacement, so you are paying small-hatchback duty on a family SUV, which is the whole economic case for this car. Age is the second: nearly all of our stock sits within three years of the date of manufacture, so even a strict three-year import limit leaves you almost the full choice, and a five-year rule leaves you all of it. The one thing to get straight is origin. These are built in China under a British marque, and the Certificate of Origin will say so. Required export documentation

Two details repay attention. The engine capacity has to appear as a figure, since the low band is most of what makes this car cheap to land and an SUV body invites the wrong assumption. And the model has to be written as RX5 in full, because MG also sells an RX8, which is a much larger seven-seat ladder-frame SUV taxed and valued quite differently, and one digit is all that separates them on paper.
